Marbled Paper Shaving Cream Acrylic Paint

The possibilities are endless. Spray a layer of shaving cream on the bottom of a tray. Marbling with acrylic paint is a method of fluid surface design which produces similar patterns as a stone or smooth marble. Press the paper down onto the shaving cream.

Use a craft stick to gently swirl the food coloring into the shaving cream. Diy paper marbling has always been one of the most interesting and creative art projects. Place a piece of paper on top of the shaving cream and press it down so all of it touches. Using a toothpick or the end of a paint brush start dragging the paint through the shaving cream making straight lines across.

However if you are looking for a fun and even kid friendly marbled technique using shaving cream is the way to go. 2 use the back of a squeegee or you can use a ruler to spread the shaving cream out to a nice even layer. You simply press a piece of paper into shaving cream swirled with liquid watercolours and the colours and patterns are transferred to the paper making it look marbleized. I was given the suggestion of trying marbling on other surfaces.

You can use this beautiful paper to make wrapping paper homemade cards book covers and even paper snowflakes. Use as many colors as you like. Start by spraying shaving cream all over a cookie sheet. Pour drops of ink all over the shaving cream.

Use a toothpick to marble the ink by simply drawing random designs all over the shaving cream and ink. Add drops of food coloring on top. Use a spatula to shape the shaving cream a bit creating a semi flat surface. Take a straw and make swirl designs making sure theres still white showing.

My very favorite color medium to use in marbled diy projects is probably nail polish. Then take 3 4 colors of acrylic paint and put drops all over. Spray shaving cream onto a tray or box lid and spread it around evenly. Apply a small amount of shaving cream to the pan or use wax paper so that you can make a layer that is a little wider than your cardstock sheet and about 1 4 1 25 cm thick.
