Add the eggs one at a time mixing for about 20 seconds after each addition. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour cornstarch baking powder baking soda and salt. I chose to bake this recipe up in 3 6 inch diameter round pans but it can also be made in 2 8 inch pans or 9 inch pans or you could make it in a 9 13 inch pan just be sure to adjust the bake times as needed if you re making it differently than what you see here. 6 2 inch round pan holds 4 cups of batter the same as an 8 4 inch loaf pan. You can use 1 regular loaf pan 9x5 inch 1 square pan 9x9 inch or 8x8 inch or 1 round pan to make this recipe. If so use 1 tablespoon cocoa powder to mix the batter.

In a large bowl beat the oil butter and sugar together until light and fluffy about 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f 175 degrees c. Butter and flour or generously spray with a non stick cooking spray a 10 cup bundt pan see note. Marble with other flavors adding peppermint or almond extract to one of the batters try stirring in peanut butter powder give it a chocolate swirl and frost with peanut butter frosting.

How to bake marble cake. Adjust the oven rack to middle position and preheat the oven to 350f 180c. See my 6 inch cakes for more information. I used 3 mini loaf pans to make the marble cake.

Begin by making the vanilla cake batter. You may cut down the chocolate portion to 1 3 of the batter. Make these marble cupcakes by filling your lined muffin tin 1 2 way with chocolate batter and a spoonful of vanilla batter. Cupcake recipes yielding 12 16 cupcakes fit wonderfully in 3 6 inch cake pans.

Preheat oven to 350 f. 8 2 inch round pan holds 6 cups of batter. Prepare two 8 inch round cake pans by buttering or spraying and then adding a piece of parchment to the bottom of the pan. Preheat the oven to 350 f grease and lightly flour 2 9 inch round cake pans.

Spray a 10 in 12 cup bundt pan generously with nonstick cooking spray with flour such as baker s joy or pam with flour.
